Mockup Folder Organizer - Beta Testing

We Designers Know the Struggle!
We’ve all been there – a cluttered mockup folder filled with .rar/.zip files waiting to be extracted, scattered documents, random PSDs, AIs, images, PDFs… and when you desperately need that one specific mockup.psd file, it’s chaos!

As a computer science student and a designer, I decided to tackle this problem head-on. I created a simple yet powerful tool to automate cleaning and organizing those messy mockup folders, saving both time and space.

What Does the Software Do?

Here’s how it works:

1. Extracts All Compressed Files: Automatically unzips .zip and .rar files.
2. Organizes Files by Type: Inside the extracted folders, files are sorted into categories:
   • PSD files
   • AI/EPS files
   • Images (JPEG, PNG, etc.)
   • PDFs
   • Other types are placed in an “Unsorted” folder.
3. Cleans Up Unnecessary Folders: Moves all organized files out, deletes empty or redundant folders, and saves space.
4. Deletes Compressed Files (Optional): After everything is extracted and sorted, you’ll be prompted to delete the original .zip/.rar files to free up storage.

Why Use It?

• Saves time: Organizes large mockup folders in just a few seconds.
• Frees up space: Automatically cleans redundant files and folders.
• Easy to use: A simple, guided process with user confirmations before deleting anything.

How to Use the Tool?

1. Run the file .
2. It will prompt you to provide the path to your mockup folder:
   • Right-click your folder and choose “Copy as path” (or copy the path from your file explorer).
   • Paste the path and hit Enter.
3. The tool will handle the rest, sorting and organizing your files.
4. When prompted, confirm with (y/n) whether to delete unnecessary files or folders.Demonstration video , (the version provided in this page is a simple executable) :
